As in any successful relationship, a good lawyer / client relationship involves cooperation on both sides and is always stronger when the attorney and client understand each other and work together.

Ideally, the good client will work with his / her lawyer on a strategy that will achieve the client’s most important priorities.  If you’ve established a good working relationship with your attorney, and your goals are legally realistic, you should be able to get what you want.
