Sexual Harassment Law
Discrimination on the basis of sex is covered under the Civil Rights Act.
A form of discrimination is when one is harassed in a sexual manner. This includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favor, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that is used as a basis for employment decisions, or has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment.
Sexual harassment should not have to be dealt with in the work place and consulting a New York Civil Rights attorney on the matter is the best way to stop this breach of civil rights.
